I’m Brett Tucker. I’m a Victorian, having grown up mainly in a small town called Warburton deep into the Yarra Valley.

I grew up floating down the Yarra River on truck tires and playing Aussie Rules for the Warburton Kookaburras. Copped my fair share of smacks in the head on those country football grounds, but somehow managed to survive.

I moved to the big smoke of Melbourne around 19 years of age and spent three years at Drama School. I managed to somehow survive that also, and over the past 30 years I have gone on to act in theatre, film, television and voice over work here in Australia and then in the US where I was based for the past 14 years.

In Australia I did long term stints on shows such as Mcleods Daughters and the popular kids show, The Saddle Club and worked on numerous US productions that were filmed here.

These roles took me to the US where I became a citizen and worked on many productions such as Shonda Rhimes “Station 19, Greys Anatomy, ABCs Mistresses, The Americans and The Residence amongst many others.

I have also been providing the voice for the character Singed on Arcane for it’s two seasons, streaming on Netflix.

Working in the US more often than not required a US accent, and I have studied for many years to master it. It’s also meant studying regional accents in the US, which of course there are many.

I also happen to speak French, donc si vous voulez un Australien qui peut parler français, je suis l’homme pour vous.

You might be surprised to hear that my name in French is….Brett Tucker.
