Biography

Fiona Macleod is one of Australia’s leading voice artists, with several national brand campaigns to her name, and has worked on stage, in television and film.  Fiona co-founded theatre company THE OTHER TONGUE with playwright Jane Bodie in 1998, touring nationally and internationally.  Fiona has been nominated multiple times for Best Actress at the Green Room Awards for her roles in THE CITY by Martin Crimp at Red Stitch and CONSTRUCTION OF THE HUMAN HEART by Ross Mueller at Malthouse Theatre and recently performed in the critically acclaimed Oil Babies.  Fiona’s TV work is extensive, including recent roles in TRUE STORY SEASONS 1 & 2 (Hamish and Andy), BACK IN VERY SMALL BUSINESS (ABC TV), WENTWORTH, OFFSPRING, FANCY BOYS, 7 TYPES OF AMBIGUITY, LAID, PAPER GIANTS: THE MAGAZINE WARS, MISS FISHERS MURDER MYSTERIES and A DANGEROUS METHOD.Film credits include NOISE, THE HEARTBREAK TOUR, LITTLE DEATHS and SHE WAS SHE, which has screened in Palm Springs USA and at MIFF.  As well as her commercial voice-over work, Fiona is also very much enjoys audio-book narration where she gets to do one of her favourite things – sit and read stories aloud.
