Biography

Jeremy Stanford is an accomplished actor and singer with over 30 years experience.

His voice is warm and eloquent with an engaging authority. He’s lent a cool elegance to Nescafe, Loreal and Cadbury; a rougher, dramatic edge to Holden, SAAB & Lexus; and created a dynamic, energized take for H.P.

Jeremy’s corporate reads are personal and appealing, friendly and authoritative. He’s accomplished in many accents including North American (New York, General American, Texan) as well as a variety of English and Irish accents.

As a performer, he’s played lead roles in many plays and musicals, including The Buddy Holly Story, High Society, Sweet Charity, Hello Dolly, South Pacific, and Light in the Piazza. Most recently appearing in the 2022 Australian tour of American in Paris.  As well as creating the Hugo Weaving role of Tick in the original production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert- the Musical on which he wrote his first book, Year of the Queen a biography about the making of the show.

For TV he’s performed in many Australian TV staples including  The Newsreader, Apple Cider Vinegar, Jack Irish, Wentworth, The Dr Blake Mysteries, Winners and Losers, and recently in the feature film, Relic.

 In 1999 he retrained as a film maker and formed his own media company, Storybox Films for which he co-wrote and directed his award-winning debut feature film, The Sunset Six. He then moved back into stage work, directing Gordon Frost’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Into the Woods and Rent for BAPA, and Dr Miracle and First the Words, Then the Music for Gertrude Opera. For the Production Company, Jeremy assisted director Roger Hodgeman on A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. In February 2018, he released his first novel titled, Rapture.

He now has his own film production company, You and Me Entertainment and in the past two years has written and produced the feature films 13th Summer and He Loves Me Not.
