Johnny Carr is known for his earthy, nuanced performances and his vast emotional range, Johnny Carr has been working as an actor and voiceover artist for over fifteen years.

Jonny has performed leading roles for all the major theatre companies of Australia and his screen credits include a series regular role on Five Bedrooms as well as Welmania and Summer Love and a leading role in Strange Creatures, which went to Cannes this year with Queer Screen as part of the Marché du Film’s Go to Cannes initiative, and which recently had its Australian theatrical release.

His interpretation of text and organic delivery have seen him working on campaigns for Qantas, Telstra, Honda, Nikon, Bundaberg Rum, Lego, Mortgage Choice, OFX, Aeroguard and Elders Insurance to name a few.

Whether it be an effortless natural read, some comedic flare or emotional gravitas, Johnny elevates the essence of any campaign.

Johnny Carr can be seen in 2025 in the upcoming Netflix series The Survivors.

He is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, a recipient of the Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship and trained at École Philippe Gaulier in France.
