My name is Pat Powell and I was raised close to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre by a couple of Jamaicans who thought they spoke the Queens English, so combined with the sounds of many other ethnicities I fell into mimicry then the stage then music. I specialise in West Indian accents with a few English dialects thrown in for good measure and a healthy dash of smooth American speak, since 1986 my voice has sold everything from Coco Pops to groovy jocks to ski trips with a Caribbean drink or two.
